Temple First Church of the Nazarene Basketball Camp is more than just a sports program- it’s an opportunity for children to grow in both their athletic skills and their faith. Throughout the month of January, we will host a series of one-week camps designed for the different age groups, beginning with kindergarten and progressing up to fifth and sixth grade. Each week focuses on teaching fundamental basketball skills while sharing the message of Jesus in a positive, encouraging environment. At the end of every camp week, participants showcase what they’ve learned by playing their games on Saturday. Our goal is to help kids develop teamwork, discipline, and confidence on the court while deepening their understanding of Christ’s love.
Basketball Camp Schedule
Kindergarten practices are held from 6-7p.m. on January 5th, 6th, 8th, and 9th, with games on January 10th (TBD). 1st & 2nd Grade practice from 6-8 p.m. on January 12th, 13th, 15th, 16th, with games on January 17th (TBD). 3rd and 4th Grade practice from 6-8p.m. on January 19th, 20th, 22nd, and 23rd, with games on January 24th (TDB). 5th and 6th Grade practice from 6-8p.m. on January 26th, 27th, 29th, and 30th, with games on January 31st (TBD).
As you review the weekly basketball camp schedule above, you may notice that no practices or games are planned on Wednesdays or Sundays. We intentionally do not schedule practices on Wednesdays or hold events on Sundays to honor our regular church activities. On Wednesday nights we offer Children’s Church, Youth Group, and Adult small Groups from 6:00-7:00p.m., and we would love for you and your family to join us. On Sundays, our church gathers for Sunday School at 9:30a.m. followed by Sunday Service at 10:45a.m. we warmly invite all participants and their families to worship with us during these times.

Payment/Gear
The cost to participate in Temple Nazarene Basketball Camp is $20 for 1 kid or $35 for 2 kids. This fee covers the entire week of instruction and games for the selected age group. Each registered participant will also receive a camp T-shirt and a water bottle as part of their registration. Payment will be collected on the first day of camp when you and your child arrive. Our goal is to keep the camp affordable while providing a quality experience that helps children grow both in basketball skills and in their faith.
